Regional Sales Engineer – 3D Products – South West

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Regional Sales Engineer to join our team here at The 3D Measurement Company Ltd.

T3DMC are a UK leading provider of 3D Engineering Solutions; specialising in 3D Measurements, Quality and Inspection, Reverse Engineering and 3D system sales. Our customers rely on us to provide efficient, accurate and detailed solutions to their manufacturing challenges.

To support our big vision, we are looking for a Sales Person based in the South West to join our team. We are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and technical support and we are looking for an individual who shares that passion and who is excited to be part of a fast-growing team in a fast-growing market.

In a results-driven role, no two days will be the same as you follow up on our sales leads and meet with our potential customers in the region to present and demonstrate our range of 3D scanners and associated equipment as well as promote our product range through exhibitions, conferences and networking events.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Proactively identifying, developing and nurturing new sales opportunities in the region.
  • Achieving predefined KPI, revenue and margin targets.
  • Building strong and profitable relationships with new customers.
  • Compiling detailed pipeline analysis and sales reporting month on month to assess business performance.
  • Generate new business through networking, social media engagement and development of current customer base.
  • Travel to clients & prospects, UK and Ireland only.
  • Work directly with the Product Sales Manager to deliver technical presentations and demonstrate how T3DMC products will exceed clients’ expectations and provide value-added benefits.
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements and desires.
  • Prepare sales reports for inclusion in quarterly management meetings.
  • Record and maintain client activity on the company CRM system.
  • Support marketing activity by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
  • Liaise with other members of the sales team, technical experts and equipment manufacturers.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of 3D scanning systems to present a knowledge-based sales approach to sales leads.

This role has a huge scope for growth, with the successful candidate evolving to manage the South West Region in a full sales capacity, from prospecting to closing.

Skills & Experience

  • A track record of success in a Technical Sales position.
  • An understanding of the 3D measurement equipment/software market (desirable)
  • Ability to identify, develop and deliver sales leads from a growing market
  • Ambition with an appetite for success
  • Target oriented
  • A strong and demonstrable grasp of the full Sales Process from enquiry to conversion
  • Ability to convert deals
  • Exceptional Organisational, Communication & Interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate – all standard MS office products
  • Degree, HND or equivalent in a Technical engineering discipline
  • Personable
  • Well presented
